One reason (not ten) why you should use firefox - the anti-phishing browser.

Ok. This has nothing to do with Payscroll development, but I thought this is really an important feature of firefox that needs some blogging and love. So this morning I fired up Gmail and was going to check my emails and got a “fishy” email from Wachiovia but wait a minute, I do not have any banking relationship with Wachovia. Normally, Gmail is pretty ok in identifying “phishing” emails but this one got through Gmail’s gate and ended up in my mailbox. So here’s what basically is in the email.
Dear Customer,

So out of curiosity I justed clicked on the link in the email, and surprise surprise, it was indeed another “phishing” site. But then I wasn’t surprised by that - I was pleasantly surprised that Firefox had pop up a warning, one that I have never seen before, identifying this could possibly be a “phishing” site. Way to go! Firefox. So if you have Firefox 2.0.0.2 installed, go ahead and click on the link in the email message above and see for yourself.
Thanks for the testimonial. It is yet another reason to leave IE and use a Mozilla product.
IE 7 also has this capability and they had it months before Firefox. The interface of IE 7 is slightly better than the latest Firefox IMO. You might want to spend more time on the future of better insight into pay ranges rather than preaching at your future customers about which browser to use.
Remember, what you think doesn’t matter when you make product decisions, but rather what your customers want and how you can deliver it to them- and the majority still use IE.
